Today, Marriott Bonvoy announced details about their upcoming Spring 2022 promotion. This new global promotion is known as “Every Night Counts”, and registration is now open.
It will offer members 1,000 bonus points and double elite nights for each night stayed at a Marriott hotel between February 8 and May 4, 2022. Only paid hotel bookings are eligible for this promotion.
Bonvoy members need to register on the Marriott website or from the Marriott mobile app, under the “Promotion” tab. Registration ends on April 20, 2022.
1,000 bonus points for each night
Generally, Marriott Bonvoy members earn points on their hotel stays at the following rates:
- 5 Bonvoy points per US dollar spent at Element, Residence Inn, and TownePlace Suites properties
- 10 Bonvoy points per US dollar spent at all other hotel brands
With this promotion, you’ll earn an extra 1,000 Bonvoy points per paid night at any Marriott hotel. Plus, there is no limit to the number of bonus points you can earn during the promotional period.
Also, use your Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card or the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card to earn 5 Bonvoy points per dollar spent on your upcoming Marriott stays.

Double Elite Nights
On top of earning bonus points during this promotion, you’ll also earn double Elite nights for each paid night! This could certainly help you reach the next Marriott Bonvoy status level.
For those curious, I’ve indicated how many nights you need to stay under this double nights promotion to keep your status.
- Silver Elite = 10 nights (5 nights to retain Silver)
- Gold Elite = 25 nights (13 nights to retain Gold)
- Platinum Elite= 50 nights (25 nights to retain Platinum)
- Titanium Elite = 75 nights (38 nights to retain Titanium)
Note that only paid nights are eligible for this promotion. Cash + points rates, Bonvoy points & Free night award redemptions are excluded from this promo.
Overall, this promotion makes it easier for most Marriott members to earn Elite nights to keep their current elite status. Nonetheless, it seems this promotion is aimed at those who wish to travel safely during this global pandemic.
Terms & conditions
According to the Marriott website, stays must include a paid night to be eligible for this promotion.
Only stays made after registration will qualify toward the promotion.
Also, points and elite nights will post 7 business days after checkout, providing all promotion terms were met.

This promotion could certainly help Bonvoy members earn valuable Elite nights to keep their Marriott Elite status.
